A Toast to Kitchen and Kocktails!
My Favourite Kitchen and Kocktails:
A major skill for anyone who wishes to improve his or her bartenderry skills is how to make cocktails at home rather than spend money on a bar, especially when prices go up. You’ll get a lot of cocktail recipes that have been mixed up by the spirit, so you can cut down on your focus. For all of us, there are a lot of things like vodka, gin, whiskey or tequila. I am listing some of my favourite kocktails and how to make it-
1. How to Make Martini
This is super easy to make. To get started you will need Vodka, Creme de Violette and Lemon Juice.
My measurements can be scaled back for a weaker drink if in Kitchen and Kocktails, just use 3 parts, 2 parts, 1 part of the ingredients above. For this particular cocktail, I used 3 ounces of Vodka, 2 ounces of Creme de Violette and 1 ounce of lemon juice. Shake until cold and pour through a strainer into a martini glass and serve.
2. How to Make a Boulevardier
Start by picking up a bottle of your favorite bourbon, some Campari liqueur to go with the sweeter vermouth. And you’re going to need a shaker of cocktails and some ice. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shaken until it is cold, add the ingredients based on the measurements listed in the recipe card at the bottom. To serve, fill an old fashioned style glass or a short brandy glass.
3. How do you make a Hurricane Cocktail
One of the most iconic cocktail recipes out there, the Hurricane cocktail is so popular when summer rolls around that there’s even a glass named (and made) specifically for it!
There are 2 types of rum in this cocktail: white rum and dark rum; 3 different kinds of juice, i.e. oranges, passion fruit or lime juice see the list above. You will mix those ingredients in the shaker with ice and shake them until they are cold. Get out your hurricane glass and fill it with ice (I use crushed myself) and pour the contents of the shaker over the ice. Garnish with a slice of orange and a cherry and serve!
4. How do you make an Apple Cider Cocktail
You can make this drink very easily by adding your spirit of choice to the glass with crushed ice or cubes and filling it with apple cider, or use my measurements on a recipe card that hangs at the bottom of each post. To give a bit of flavour and garnish with an apple slice, poke in the cinnamon stick. Well, it’s the perfect fall cocktail that you can serve yourself or to friends and family for your next get together.
5. How do you make Maple Rosemary Bourbon Sour
Nothing says cold weather cocktail like maple syrup and bourbon! For a sweet taste add some rosemary and you’ll have a new favorite. Crush two sprigs of rosemary in a large measuring cup (enough to hold all of the ingredients) with a muddler add in bourbon, maple syrup, Sortilege maple whiskey and lemon juice, give it a stir. Taste and see if it’s sweet enough ( this can be sour!) and add more syrup or hey, Sortilege if you like, to bring it to your desired level. Strain into a clean pitcher. Add ice to glasses, pour over ice. Add a sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon for garnish, if desired with Kitchen and Kocktails.
In conclusion, the world of kitchen and kocktails is a delightful playground where flavors mingle and memories are crafted. Each element contributes to the symphony of indulgence with a distinct note, whether it is the heat in the skillet or the clinking of glasses. So, the next time you’re in search of a culinary adventure, remember that the kitchen and kocktails await your creative touch.
